nani IRO Textileを手に目にするとき、
そこにたまらなく美しい自然の景色に
出会った時のような感動や、
心の震えに似たときめき、
自然との間を反復するような存在感を
大切にしてきました。
大事にしてきたその土台となる素材への想いを、
改めて言葉にしました。
【 オーガニックコットン 】
2024年から nani IRO Textile のWガーゼは、
全てオーガニックコットンへ。
オーガニックコットンは、化学薬剤を3年間使用していない土壌で有機栽培された綿花を使用しています。
綿花を育てる工程で農薬や化学肥料を使用しないことから、環境だけでなく、関わるコットン生産者への、体の配慮へと思いは続いていきます。
nani IROが始まった2002年からずっとそばにあるWガーゼ。
Wガーゼの作家テキスタイルの先駆者的存在のnani IRO Textileから、オーガニックへの思いを形にしました。
柔らかくソフトな触り心地はデリケートなお肌を包み、その風通しの良さは全ての方の快さへ。
【 Organic cotton 】
Starting in 2024, all of our double gauze fabrics will be made from organic cotton.
Organic cotton is made from cotton flowers grown in soil that’s been untouched by chemicals for over three years. As no agrichemicals and synthetic fertilizer are used during their farming, it shows care, not only for the environment, but also for cotton farmers’ health.
The double gauze fabric has been with us since the year nani IRO started, 2002. As one of the pioneer double gauze textile makers, nani IRO Textile gave shape to our thoughts for being
organic.
The soft touch envelops delicate skins, and it breathes for everyone’s comfort.
【 リネン 】
リネンの亜麻は、もともと除草剤や化学肥料を
使用する必要のない植物です。
nani IROでは毎年お馴染みのリネン100％素材。
艶感の嬉しい軽やかな100％リネンや、ライトでカジュアルなコットンリネンを採用しています。
原料である亜麻は、実は除草剤や化学肥料を使用する必要がなく、あえて水を与えなくても雨と光があれば育つたくましい植物です。
すべての部分を無駄なく活用することができ、人体にも土壌にもやさしい天然繊維の中で最もサステナブルな素材。
自然の力と大きな関係がある故、気候によってその収穫量は左右されやすく年々貴重です。
麻の艶やかな美しさ、丈夫で洗うたびに生地が段々と柔らかくなる逞しさを、色と共に長く傍へ。
【 Linen 】
Flax needs neither herbicide nor synthetic fertilizer to grow.
100% linen fabric is one of our regular material offerings every year at nani IRO.
We offer light and casual cotton-linen and 100% linen that gives an airy, shiny texture.
Linen’s raw material is flax, a strong plant that doesn’t need herbicides or synthetic fertilizers to grow, just rain and sunshine, even if they aren’t watered.
All of its parts can be used without waste and causes no harm to the human body or to the soil ? it’s one of the most sustainable materials amongst all natural fibers.
Since its growth is highly dependent on nature, its yearly harvest changes depending on the climate and it’s becoming more precious year after year.
Along with colors of nani IRO, enjoy linen’s shining beauty and resilience, that allows it to soften after every wash, for a long time.
【 コットンシルク 】
生分解され最後は土に還る−
シルクは健気な自然の循環の中にあります。
吸湿性・放湿性・保温性といったそれぞれの特長を最大限に活かした、コットンとシルク２つの素材の出会い。
シルクのなめらかさはアミノ酸由来。その肌にも嬉しい成分の繋がりは、心の喜びへとつながります。
そして、シルクは自然由来の繊維のため生分解されて最後は土に還り、循環する素材です。
水彩の揺らぎはシルクが生み出す自然な陰影と出会い、独特の輝きを放ちます。時間をかけて大切にテキスタイルへ仕上げました。
【 Cotton Silk 】
Silk is biodegradable and returns to the earth−
it’s part of nature’s humble yet steady cycle.
This fabric is made with cotton and silk, maximizing their features such as absorption and desorption of moisture,
and holding in warmth. The smooth touch of silk comes from its amino acid, which is also good for our skin and that becomes joy to our heart.
What’s more, silk is a naturally-derived fiber, so it’s biodegradable and returns to the earth.
The sway of watercolor encounters the shades created by silk and they give a distinctive glow.
We took time and brought them into a textile.
